Big Idea

Empower your community with accessible education, focusing on postpartum knowledge for holistic well-being.

Solution Concept

An app for mothers to visit the FourthTri center as well as track progress, gain incentive, and present daily achievable challenges so that they can properly manage postpartum with the accessible support.

Fourth Tri Center

We first heard about Fourth Tri from our teammate's family member who is a part of the organization. Fourth Tri is an in-person sanctuary located in Ferndale, MI that offers aid and support to new mothers in their 'Fourth Trimester'. This non profit sanctuary ensures mother and baby safety while providing a safe space to get away.

Background Research

Our research findings on postpartum depression illuminated its prevalence and profound impact on new mothers, revealing the urgent need for effective interventions. Recognizing the under diagnosis and barriers to treatment, we embarked on developing a solution aimed at providing support and resources for affected mothers. Our solution app seeks to empower mothers to manage their symptoms and connect with others facing similar challenges.

Empathy Mapping

Empathy mapping proved instrumental in our understanding and connection with users, enabling us to delve into their thoughts, feelings, and needs deeply. By immersing ourselves in their perspectives, we gained invaluable insights that guided the development of our solution, ensuring it resonates with and addresses the real experiences of those affected by postpartum depression.

Creating multiple personas was crucial in grasping the diverse demographics affected by postpartum depression. This approach provided nuanced insights into varied needs and experiences, enabling us to tailor our solution to effectively meet each persona's unique requirements, ensuring inclusivity and relevance across user groups.

Brand Kit

Our brand kit played a vital role in maintaining consistency and alignment with Fourth Trisactuary's aesthetic throughout our development process. By providing clear guidelines on visual elements, tone of voice, and messaging, the brand kit ensured that every aspect of our solution remained in line with our branding goals. This cohesion not only strengthened our brand identity but also reinforced our commitment to providing a seamless and harmonious experience for our users within Fourth Trisactuary's aesthetic framework.
