Background Research
Through our research, we uncovered compelling connections between screen time and its impact on mental, physical, and emotional well-being. These insights played a key role in guiding us toward our finalized solution.

User Persona
Sabit, our representative user, embodies the core of our target demographic. He faces common challenges like excessive screen time, constant distractions, and difficulty focusing—issues amplified by today's tech-heavy environment. By exploring Sabit’s experience as our user persona, we gained clear insight into the problem areas and uncovered key opportunities to help guide him toward better focus and balance.
App Concept
An app that utilizes Apple's Health in WatchOS to inform users of the physical changes occurring as they consistently use social media, employing alerts and notifications
Wire Framing/Features
During the wireframing stage, we were able to thoughtfully map out all of our app’s key functions and user needs. This process allowed us to conceptualize the overall structure and flow before diving into visual design, ensuring that every element served a clear purpose and aligned with our goals.

Brand Kit
Our brand kit was essential in ensuring consistency throughout every aspect of our work. By sticking to a unified set of fonts, colors, and our mascot, we were able to create a cohesive visual identity that tied everything together. Beyond just aesthetics, the brand kit helped set the tone and overall vibe of our app—giving it a personality that users could connect with and recognize. It served as a creative anchor, guiding our design decisions and keeping our messaging aligned from start to finish.

User Testing
User testing provided valuable insights into our notification design, confirming that we’re on the right track. Participants responded well to the way we communicated urgency and the importance of heart health—striking a balance that felt motivating without being judgmental or too relaxed. The testing also showed that our design stood out positively when compared to other screen time-related notifications, reinforcing the strength of our approach.

User Feedback
During our user feedback sessions, we gathered invaluable insights that shaped the direction of our app. This feedback was key in guiding us toward our final solution. Because of it, we developed our mascot, designed our notification sound, and established the overall tone of the app.
Our Mascot
Meet our mascot, Spike. He represents the heart health of our users—serving as a gentle, consistent reminder to prioritize wellness. With his calm demeanor and thoughtful prompts, Spike is always there to nudge users toward healthier habits and to let them know their heart health truly matters.

Hi-Fi

Widgets
We designed widgets as a quick and accessible way for users to monitor their screen time and understand how it may be impacting their physical health. These at-a-glance tools keep users informed without adding extra steps to their routine. To make the experience more engaging, we incorporated our mascot, Spike, who celebrates users’ progress by highlighting their streaks of staying under their screen time goals—adding a playful and encouraging touch to healthy habits.
